Jordi Mercader
Degree in business administration and management and MBA from ESADE and the UPC. Throughout his career he worked at Burberry along with its sensational transformation (including the IPO), reaching the positions of CFO, COO and CEO in Iberia and the Presidency of a global product division. He brings to inbestMe his strategic vision and experience as a financier and individual investor. Jordi supervises a team of 9 expert managers throughout the company. Since 2012, his portfolio is managed by inbestMe.

Apart from being co-founder of inbestMe, Jordi has several personal investment plans in inbestMe, including an ISR plan, a Value plan, a Dynamic plan and a Pension Plan portfolio.

And why are we called inbestMe? Our name comes from uniting the English terms investment + best + me, which in Spanish means investment + better + my… I mean, we are “my best investment”.

It all started in 2013 with a daughter and her father , while he was living abroad. The daughter had savings, but no investment knowledge. Her father was knowledgeable, experienced, and eager to help. After going to the bank and rejecting it due to her low profitability and her high commissions, the father decided to help her daughter by making her a personalized investment plan in indices. “What a pity that so few people know and can invest their money like my daughter!” lamented the father.

They say that traveling opens your mind, that’s what happened to the father. Living in a more advanced society and culture, he discovered that technology could help him bring that way of investing to many more people . He quickly thought : “ I have to help more people improve their investments.” Arriving back in his home country he started talking to friends about his project. Those friends talked to more friends. In the end, the idea caught on with a few and together, in 2014 , they started it all. Today the father , Jordi Mercader , is the CEO of inbestMe.
